Obituary of Carl Hemmingson

Carl Gunner Hemmingson, a lifelong resident of Burlington, passed away at the Winchester Nursing Center on July 19, 2010. The husband of Lorraine F. (Enos) he was 57 years old. Carl was born in Winchester. He was raised and educated in Burlington graduating from Burlington High School Class of 1971. Carl worked at Grainger in Burlington in the Sales Department. He was a former member of the Burlington Special Police and a Member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. Carl was also a member of the Masons, Simonds Lodge AF & AM in Burlington where he twice held the position of Past Master. Carl loved the outdoors. He enjoyed salt water boating as well as fishing and camping. He also loved cars most especially corvettes. Carl is the beloved husband of Lorraine F. (Enos). He was the son of the late Gunnar & Leah Hemmingson. He was the brother of Ellen Boughman & her husband James of Bucksport, ME. Carl was the beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at the North Billerica Baptist Church, 17 Colson St., North Billerica on Tuesday evening, July 27 at 7:00 p.m. Memorials in Carl’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Massachusetts Chapter, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
