My grandma would always be there for us growing up. I never remember a day she wouldn’t check in on us and say something sarcastic to make me and my brother laugh. I’m so glad she was such an amazing part of our lives.

Aunt Nia was my favorite aunt. She was involved in our lives in spite of working full time and raising her own two children. She was like Dorcas in the Bible, always sewing, crocheting, or quilting and giving her creations to others. She was the fun aunt who would hide a package of new underwear in your birthday gift and made sure you pulled it out in front of everyone. One of my favorite memories is when she would come to our house after work and we would play Boggle together. She taught me to sew, to use sarcasm, and to drive a standard. ❤️❤️❤️

Dearest Auntie would humor me on occasion as long as I didn’t make her pose for too many pictures. I’m so happy she let me take this one as we were exploring Tamworth one day. I loved sharing pictures for her to critique and just simply enjoy colors, lighting or patterns.

When we would go for a drive and Anita was riding shotgun, it was always amazing the details she would see along the way. Roads I traveled for years seemed like the first time riding with her. She gave me a new appreciation for the interesting places I rarely gave attention to from houses to cemeteries.
She had the best smile. I remember when she would smile I'd say " hold on, give that beautiful smile again so I can get a picture". Of course, she would purposely frown for the picture and then flash that smile because she was proud of herself for not smiling for me ( I knew what was coming so I would get the picture I wanted). We had some challenges while she was living with us, but we had sweet times as well. I will miss her. Love, Ron DeBow
