What a great teacher. My favorite year as a Burlington student was 5th grade at Fox Hill School with Mary Lou McQuin and Kathy Horton. I still remember many of the stories we read that year. In 2019, I got to see her at Market Basket in Billerica with her daughter. She looked great and I was happy to see she still had her health. Condolences to the family. Sincerely, John Vena

On behalf of the extended Murphy family I want to pass along our sincere condolences to all the McQuinn's. MaryLou was such a dear friend of our mother, Nancy Murphy. These last few years have begun to signal the end of a great era in this town as we have lost so many people from their generation who deserve credit for building Burlington into the great town it has become. MaryLou was aways a wonderful colleague and good friend to me. We worked together over many years at several Burlington schools, especially Francis Wyman Middle School and Fox Hill School. She was fun loving and upbeat, and a wonderful teacher. I could always count on her as a friend. We recently had a lengthy and great phone conversation, and she was as upbeat as ever. We had hoped to get together. I will miss her. My deepest condolences to all of MaryLou's family. Sincerely, Doris Hill

I have such a fond memory of her Back at Fox Hill, my mom forgot me! but Mrs. Mcquinn did not! she brought me home till my mom picked me up. hahaha I never let my mom forget that!
