Condolences to the family, I will miss Uncle Jim's phone call every December 7th, the anniversary of my dad's passing and Pearl Harbor Day. I still remember the fishing trips to Beverly with Uncle Jim, my dad, Rene and of course Teak! They would rent a 14' open skiff, bench seats and use Teak's 10 HP Johnson outboard to fish for haddock. No GPS, no chart plotter, no cell phones and no radar....not even sure I remember ever seeing a compass. Of course the only item available in the 60's was a compass! We always came home with fish and a story.
My oldest and favorite memory and which probably helped start my addiction to cool cars was uncles' 1958 Chevy Impala with dual rear antennas and roof vent! Pretty cool car for a pretty cool guy!

My deepest condolences to everyone. I remember babysitting for Marcia and Sandy and uncle Jim walking me home. I told him I could walk myself home but he insisted walking with me until he could see me safely home. I remember turning as I entered the house and seeing him still on the street waiting until I was safely inside. He was a sweet caring man who will be missed.

My deepest sympathy to you, Aunt Pat, and to all the family. Although I've been away for many years, I have nice memories of Uncle Jim as being a very sweet man. I remember when he was in the Marines, when I stayed at Rene and Teek's house I'd stay in his room. I remember seeing him in his uniform when he came home -- a handsome young man. And I remember when you both got married and going to visit you in your apartment with Mom & Dad. And, of course I remember babysitting Marcia, Sandy and Jim -- all such good little kids who grew up to great adults. I'm sorry I cannot be there to pay my respect and give hugs, but I'll be there in spirit. I'm lifting you all in prayer during this very difficult time.
Sending love,
Jan

My deepest condolences to family and friends. I have many fond memories of uncle Jim. My first memory as a very little girl was going to uncle Jim and aunt Pat’s wedding. I was so excited to go to my first wedding. You will be missed tremendously uncle Jim and never forgotten.

I have so many memories of growing up with Jim. Three very vivid ones: when we were very young, I would “sneak” (although I’m sure my parents knew) into his bedroom and we would make a tent of his blankets and talk about our day. Also, very very young we went with an older neighbor to the Moody street bridge and the three of us were crossing over the dam. I can remember clearly the rushing water under the old boards. We were rescued by the MDC police in a boat and escorted home in a police car! We were on opposite teams having “a rock” fight with neighborhood kids. Jim got hit on the forehead and we both went home crying, him bleeding and me thinking I had hit him. It wasn’t until years later he told me it was Freda Pearson who hit him!!!!
