Obituary of Lisa Anne Smulski

Lisa Anne Smulski passed away unexpectedly on Monday December 2, 2019.  She was 56 years old. She was a woman who loved people, animals, and was obsessed with frogs. Lisa was born in Cambridge. She was one of 4 children of Norman Menzies III and Frances Menzies. Lisa grew up in Burlington and was a graduate of Burlington High School. She worked as a data entry clerk for a number of years but considered her profession to be a mother and nana. She raised her son, Keith, in Burlington and 3 years ago moved to Fitchburg.  Lisa loved the ocean and walking, looking for sand dollars and seashells at Wingaersheek and Salisbury Beach. What made Lisa so special was her warm, friendly, and outgoing personality. She simply loved everyone. She never had a short conversation and was never at a loss for words. She was the first to welcome guest to an event and everyone received a hug whether they wanted it or not. She had a heart of gold. gold.  If someone needed a ride to a meeting or to run an errand, Lisa was just a phone call away.  She also loved animals, especially cats.  She was the person to call if a cat needed a home.  At one point, she had 12 cats.  She was down to 2 feline companions, Pidge and Lellow. She was a wonderful mother, nana, sister, and aunt.  She was always excited to see you and she could always make you laugh or bring a smile to your face.  Her sudden passing is difficult to accept, but she will live on in the hearts of all those she loved, and her memory will most definitely bring a smile to their faces of happy times she shared with them.

Lisa is the loving mother of Keith Smulski of Chelmsford.  She is the proud nana of Kamden Smulski.  She is the sister of Daniel Smulski of Mashpee, Robert Menzies of Fitchburg, and Lori Juliano-Blaisdell of Billerica. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.  Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128/95 Woburn side) on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m.  concluding with funeral services at 2 p.m.  Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Burial will be private.    In lieu of flowers memorials in Lisa’s name may be made to the MSPCA, Attn: Donations, 350 South Huntington Ave, Boston, MA 02130  www.mspca.org
