Obituary of Craig Joseph Pizzano

Craig Joseph Pizzano passed away on Sunday night, March 31, 2019 at the age of 43.  Craig was born in Woburn and grew up in Burlington.  He was a 1994 graduate of Burlington High School where he played Varsity football and baseball.  He had worked for over 10 years at Grainger’s.  He started in an entry position in Woburn and quickly worked his way up to manager at the Grainger’s location in Everett.  He then went to work for Johnson Supply and then as a carpenter in the construction industry.  Craig was a person who loved spending time with family and friends.  He loved fishing and was a motorcycle enthusiast.  He long time and proud Harley Davidson owner.  He and his friends loved takes long rides through the mountains of New Hampshire.  There was always a destination, but the ride and comradery with his friends what was important.  He could be just as happy sitting around a campfire sharing memories and funny stories.  He loved technology and always one of the first to get a new gadgets.  He loved to travel with warm weather destinations of Mexico, Jamaica, Bermuda, and Punta Cana being his favorites.  He was a loving son, brother, and uncle. He knew that his family loved him and would be there for him unconditionally.  He was the type of uncle who could connect with his nephew on his level and loved playing video games and street hockey together for hours at a time.  He loved being in the stands cheering for Tyler at his hockey games.

Craig was the beloved son of Dyane Malone Short and her husband Michael Short of Merrimac, Massachusetts.  He was the brother of Thomas Pizzano and his wife Olivia of Salem, New Hampshire.  He was the fun uncle to Tyler Pizzano of Salem New Hampshire.  His grandparents, Bertram “Bert” and Verilyn Malone would strong role models and second parents to Craig all through his life.  He was also survived by his best friend, Brandi Kessel of Braintree and many other friends.

A visitation will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn Street, Burlington (exit 34 off Rt. 1128/95, Woburn side) on Friday, April 5 from 5-8 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.  Craig will be buried next his grandparents in a private service.
