I was so saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Robert, my heartfelt sympathy goes to the entire family. I grew up a few houses down the street and Robert always took time to chat with me, even though I was much younger. When he moved away and was home to visit, it was always nice to bump into him and be greeted with a warm hug, he always made time to catch up on things.
Robert had a smile that could light up a room and gentle and friendly way about him. I'm sure he thought I was just the kid down street, but he made me feel so important by taking the time to ask me about how I was doing in school.
