Obituary of Stanley Fraser

Stanley R. Fraser, a resident of Burlington for over 50 years, passed away in Forsythe, MO, on Tuesday, December 7, 2010. The husband of the late Ruth A. (Cann) for 60 years, he was 92 years old. Stanley was born in Milton,MA. He was the son of the late Arthur and Mary Fraser. He was raised and educated in Medford. Stanley and his family settled in Burlington where he lived until this past year when he moved to Forsythe, MO to live with his son Warren. Stanley worked as a Custodian at MIT for many years. He was a very handy person and liked to tackle small construction projects. He also enjoyed working in his yard and garden. Stanley was a car enthusiast. He enjoyed taking trips by train throughout the United States. Stanley enjoyed spending time with his family whether it was at a holiday dinner, birthday party or just being together. Stanley was the beloved husband of the late Ruth A. (Cann). He was the loving father of Dottie Palladino & her husband Al of Medford, Warren Furbish & his wife Dutchie of MO, and Stephen Furbish & his companion Mary Houghton of Woodstock, VT. He was the brother of William of FL, Andrew of Medford, Margaret Gardner of Reading and the late Ira, Austin & Arthur. Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at the Pine Haven Cemetery Chapel, Bedford St., Burlington on Friday, Dec. 17 at 12 Noon. Interment immediately following. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers memorials in Stanley’s name may made in support of Taylor Brownell to the Children’s Hospital Trust, Dept.731,One Autumn Street, Boston, MA 02215.
