Obituary of Margaret Srabian

Margaret Srabian passed away suddenly at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on Tuesday morning, December 7, 2010. She was 66 years old. Margaret was born in Cambridge, the daughter of the late John and Victoria Sarmanian. She grew up in Watertown and Reading. She was a graduate of Reading High School and Burdett College in Boston. She worked for 22 years as an Administrative Assistant at Arthur D. Little Company. She was currently working as an Administrative Assistant at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington. She loved her work and her coworkers. Margaret was happiest at her home with her family. She enjoyed knitting, baking, and cooking. She loved to travel and to garden. She enjoyed playing cards with her family and friends. She cherished the time spent with her 3 daughters and 8 grandchildren. Margaret always looked forward to family shopping trips, celebrations, and events. She was always present to comfort and care for her family and in her finals days, her family was at her bedside returning that love and devotion. Margaret was the beloved mother of Sharon Srabian and partner Shabd Khalsa, Christine DeSantis and fiancé Christopher Gillis and Lynn Barnstein and husband Michael, all of Burlington. She was the sister of Peter Sarmanian of Mashpee, John Sarmanian & his wife Ann of Bradford, and Marianne Barsomian of Maine. She was the proud grandmother of Victoria, Jacob, Zoe, Grace & Gabrielle DeSantis and Jack, Alexander, & Isabel Barnstein. A Luncheon in honor of Margaret will be held at the Beacon Grille, 400 Trade Center, Woburn on Friday, December 10 at Noon. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
