Obituary of Mary Engel

Mary T. Engel, a resident of Burlington for 40 years, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday morning, December 2, 2009. She was 65 years old. Mary was born, raised and educated in Somerville. She was the daughter of the late William and Mabel Engel. Mary was employed at A.I.M. Mutual Insurance in Burlington and had previously worked at Raytheon. She loved the beach and the ocean. She enjoyed visiting both Cape Cod and Scituate. Mary’s faith was a very important part of her life. She was an active member of St. Paul Evangelical Church in Lexington. Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be deeply missed. Mary was the beloved mother of Michelle (Strange) Paone of Burlington. She was the loving grandmother of Bryan and Jennifer Strange. She was the sister of Frank Engel of Winchester, Florence Flynn of Woburn, and Robert Engel of Burlington. Mary is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Monday, Dec. 7 at 9:30 a.m. Followed by Funeral Services at St. Paul Evangelical Church, Lexington at 11 a.m. Visiting hours Sunday 3-7 p.m. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington.
