Remembrances of Michael from his Sister Pam On behalf of my entire family, I want t thank all of you for your compassion and for being present here today. For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Pam Spouse and I am Michael’s sister. As hard as it is to do so, I feel it an honor to be here to come and say a final goodbye to my Brother Michael whom I grew up with as a young child, and looked up to as my older and wiser “big brother,” especially when I became a young adult. He was a hero to me long before I recognized and understood the power and impact that his life embodied even though we were separated many years by many miles, he was a huge inspiration and a big part of my life. God uses good people to do great things. And I’m here today to say a final thank you, Brother for being a great Man – who cared deeply about his family. He loved his beautiful wife Trish and daughters immensely, as well as the rest of his family. Recently while visiting my brother in Boston, we had such a good time just being together and we had the opportunity to really sit and chat as so many other get-togethers, seem to be a bit chaotic, we spoke of childhood memories, politics and religion. Once again during that visit, I was reminded just how deeply intelligent and spiritual my brother was. He told me he felt very fortunate for all of his many blessings, and mostly for his beautiful family and that he was grateful he was able to spend so much quality time with his girls, that a conventional job might not have allowed. He mentioned how he was grateful for all the opportunity that he and his wife had enjoying traveling especially with the girls. Michael was a very generous soul and lent a helping hand whenever he could and would give advice to those he cared for (sometimes whether they wanted it or not.) he always made an effort to try and help. I celebrate your strength to this day. And I am forever grateful, Brother, for your courage, your love and your kindness. Messenger of God Oh, Little Butterfly Messenger of God When I see you in the sky I cannot help but nod. You bring me respite From ever grief and despair Every time I see you Sailing through the air
