It was also at Community Boating that in 1985 he was first introduced to his future wife, Linda Manning, who was also a sailing enthusiast. They both were members of the USS Constitution Shipwright Guild and the Marine Modelers of New England. Eduardo was also an avid member of the Steam Ship Historical Society of America. Eduardo and Linda were rarely apart and regularly attended meetings and events together. Eduardo was a radio control model enthusiast. He had his own little fleet of radio control boats and regularly ran his boats at Marine Modelers of NE events. When it came to vacations, Eduardo’s only request was that it be on or near the water. He was also a history buff with special interest in naval history but also trains, steam engines and airplanes. He had an extensive personal library on all things on or in the water including war ships, working boats, and submarines. He and Linda enjoyed several cruise vacations and also vacationed in England numerous times especially to attend model boat exhibitions and explore the naval history of the great British naval empire. He was an avid reader as well with a keen interest in science fiction, WWI and WWII naval history and every Clive Cussler novel writer to date.
