Obituary of Frances Lawlor

Frances G. Lawlor “Sas”, a resident of Burlington for 26 years, passed way at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center on Friday morning, May 18, 2007. She was 78 years old. Frances was born, raised, and educated in Cambridge. She was the daughter of the late John and Julia Lawlor. She made her home in Arlington for 16 years before settling in Burlington in 1981. She worked for over 30 years as a Supervisor at Cambridge Gas and Electric. She had previously worked for General Electric for 10 years. She enjoyed going to Bingo and Foxwoods with her many friends. Frances had a special place in all the hearts of her siblings, nieces, and nephews. She cherished her family and she had a big influence in the lives of all her family. She and her sister Peg were best friends and shared the many of the same interests. She loved having family get togethers and always hosted the family Fourth of July and Labor Day cook-outs. She loved the holiday parties with her nieces. And even though she did not have any children, she was she was always surrounded by family, which she was eternally grateful for. Frances was the sister of the late Marguerite “Peg” McLaughlin, Thomas F., John J., & William J. Lawlor. She was survived by a sister-in-law, Agnes Lawlor of Pelham, NH. She was also survived by many nieces, nephews, several great nieces, great nephews, and one great great grand nephew. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Thursday, May 24 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Wednesday 5-8 p.m. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
